Harrolds are delighted to welcome the Spring Summer 15 collection of definitive Belgian designer Dries Van Noten into stores. Noten’s creations provide our brand mix with a unique, relaxed elegance executed in combination with a celebration of decadent fabrics. The result is vibrant, highly wearable and embossed with high-fashion detailing and flawless softly tailored pieces.

Born in Antwerp in 1958, Dries Van Noten is the third generation in a family of tailors, this lineage and his early introduction to the world of fashion was a side effect of growing up as the son of the owner of one of the finest department stores in Belgium. Dries was exposed to the landscape of high fashion from an early age, when he, as a child, accompanied his father to see fashion shows in Milan, Düsseldorf and Paris, and a love of directional design was born.

A design graduate from Antwerp’s Royal Academy Dries launched his eponymous label in 1986 with his late partner Christine Mathys. Van Noten captured the attention of the fashion elite with his powerfully cerebral collections and exploration of decadent soft tailoring. His collections continue to celebrate and explore an in-house designed array of fabrics every season, paired seamlessly with his signature powerfully thematic exploration of construction and draping.

Highlight pieces of the collection include, bombers, shirting and trousers impeccably cut and endowed with Van Noten’s signature print of the season and capture the essence of perfectly tailored Sports Luxe.
