The accompanying collection to Thom Browne’s iconic Autumn Winter 14 runway show is in store now at Harrolds. Infused with the vibrancy and splendour of the show, expressed through a typically muted lens for Thom Browne’s ready to wear lines, this collection captures the collision of high art and sumptuous tailoring that defines the New York based label.
Enduring staples- prints, detailing and cropped silhouttes produced by the tailoring visionary season on season, remain a calling card for the Autumn Winter collection. Produced within the vein of the naturalist ecosystem theme of the runway show with Fox and Deer prints on baseball caps, ties and sweatshirts, subtle references to the show’s identity which give the collection a palpable, wearable connection to January’s Paris Fashion Week spectacle.
The cornerstone of the Thom Browne label, an aesthetic of slim-tailored, preppy looks true to the brand’s homeland, is reworked in the Autumn Winter 2014 collection through a seasonal exploration of woodland prints in combination with wardrobe staple varsity jackets, chinos and hoodies.
