Revolutionaries in high-performance yet luxurious garments, Herno is named after its birthplace in Lesa, Italy. Founded in 1948 by Giuseppe Marenzi, Herno is a family run business that’s since been passed down to son Claudio Marenzi. Inspired by the geography and climate of Italy, Giuseppe and his wife Alessandra Diana set out after WWII to create functional coats and jackets that are not just wind and rain resistant, but elegant and fine fitting.
Over 80 years later, Herno has modernised to suit the changing fashion climate, creating garments that are “waterproof but breathable, light but warm and luxurious but sporty.” They’ve managed to do this without compromising on their quality of craftsmanship, and with the brand’s heritage at the forefront of design.
Herno has produced garments for some of the world’s top luxury fashion houses, including Jill Sander, Prada, Gucci, Armani and Louis Vuitton. They’ve also collaborated with a series of artists, including Graphic Designer Pierre-Louis Mascia and Acronym designer Errolson Hugh.
