Adir Yakobi Purple Flower Vase

Adir Yakobi Design studio established in Tel-Aviv in 2015 specializes in designing and producing high-end handmade design. His artistic statement minimizes practicality in order to give expression to his objects’ formalist aesthetics. This melting lamp with hair is from the artist's 'unknown' collection which presents a morbid aesthetic functional object, the process of making which, starts with a frame from disposed objects considered as "trash". Then those are combined together to the desired form and covered with a polymer, creating a melting texture. Finally, the drippings are hand created in a free but controlled way, resulting in objects that make up a series, but stand unique each on their own at the same time. Jolie Laide is curated collection of maximalist design pieces by Melbourne sisters Emma and Lou Smith.
